Many vendors just “enable” their partners, but the issue is that they do not “motivate” them.
The point stating enabling is like giving a person a shovel. The shovel enables that person to dig a hole, however it is not likely by just giving them the shovel, they will just go dig a hole. This analogy for "enablement vs. motivation" speaks to what many solution providers face when dealing with vendor cloud programs.

ISV´s using smart commerce platforms can supercharge instantly any affiliate, reseller, agency partners with a pre-configured storefront (App Store) – which varies in its format depending on the amount of apps to be promoted. Pre-configured means that all relevant informations around the offering are pre-defined – such as price, rich media, promotion, social sharing integration and reviews. This „resource“ in conjunction with a shopping card can be embedded within seconds directly on the reseller´s website, any blog, online magazine or any third party´s website. That allows small medium business (SMB) customers to Try, Buy, Quote – the ISV´s offering – directly on its „trusted advisor´s“ website.
For the ISV´s channel partner this means they don´t have to invest time, money and can so concentrate on the customer relationship – as they are provisioned with the tools they need to activate their new business.
The ISV reaches more customers by placing storefronts as multiple online „point of sales“, strenghten so the relationship with their partners and speed up time to revenue.
